Ceremonies are available in the outdoor Sculpture Park on the West Sculpture Terrace or the Tapis Vert and indoor in Kirkwood Hall or Rozzelle Court.

Included in the Ceremony fee:

• Rental fee for space on the West Sculpture Terrace, Tapis Vert, Kirkwood Hall or Rozzelle Court.
• Rental fee for post ceremony gathering on the East Sculpture Terrace or Bloch Lobby.
• Museum staff
• Two staging areas

Not included in the Ceremony fee:

• Décor and specialty items, subject to approval
• Chairs for the ceremony
• Musicians
• Tenting
• Reception fees including rental, food and beverage, and all other costs.

Considerations:

• Tenting is circumstantial based on location, size and museum operations.
• Cost for any approved tenting must be paid at the time of reserving the tent through event planning. Tent fees are non-refundable.
• We recommend the bridal party dress off site as museum staging areas do not offer restrooms, mirrors, etc.
• A wedding coordinator is strongly recommended and a day of contact who is not part of the bridal party is required.
• Wedding ceremonies are an option when renting the museum for a wedding reception.
• Weather back up is required for any outdoor event

Nelson Atkins Wedding Receptions 

Stand alone receptions are also available. Rental fees vary based on venue(s), time, set up and other considerations.

Wedding reception venues at the museum include Kirkwood Hall, Rozzelle Court, Bloch Lobby and the East Sculpture Terrace.

Rozzelle Court Restaurant is the exclusive caterer for museum events.

Included in the rental fee:

• Use of space for up to 4 hours
• Museum staff
• Nelson-Atkins china and glassware for up to 250.

Not included in the rental fee: 

• Food and beverage
• Décor and specialty items, subject to approval
• Musicians
• Tables, chairs, and linens
• China and glassware for over 250, or specialty rentals

Considerations:

• The museum does not charge tax, but a service fee will be charged.
• Wedding cakes may be provided by an outside bakery.
• Weather back up is required for any outdoor event
